It's a new look!

In celebration of finished finals and the beginning of spring break (and combined with the fact that I wasn't allowed to go to sleep last night--doctor's orders)... we have a new blog! There still might be tweaks here and there, but we are happy to present our new look. Unfortunately, this new look comes with no guarantee that we will actually write more posts.

But, in the spirit of my first post in quite a few months, let me show you what we did last weekend.

Kiersten's parents came down for the day, and we took advantage of the beautiful sunshine and added company to head over to Cabrillo National Monument. I've been wanting to see the Old Point Loma Lighthouse for some time now, and it was no disappointment. Built over 150 years ago, but still shining as bright as ever.

Actually, it never did so well as a lighthouse, due to its position 400 feet above the water and the pesky clouds and fogs that would block its light from the poor lost sailors. But, good or not for the sailors, you can't beat the position of the bedroom window overlooking the ocean. I'd move there in a heartbeat.
