Rua turns 2!!

Rua had her birthday this week!! Her birthday fell on a Wednesday but since ERic was still on paternity leave we were able to have an entire day together to celebrate!

We started out with some owl balloons to greet her when she woke up. She spotted them from her bed and immediately cried out,"owl!"

We took her to ride the train in Balboa Park, which she's never done and she wasvery excited.  And then...we found out that apparently the train doesn't run on Wednesdays. How can they do that to this cute little girl?

 So we went and played in Balboa Park instead.

The highlight of the day for Rua was probably the cake. She's been talking about us making an owl cake for weeks. Can you tell she loves owls?!

Turned out pretty good, I think!
