Letter to Sadie, 3 months

Dearest Sadie,

Three months is looking positive, hoping this is the turning point for you! This last week or so, you have been noticeably calmer and happier. Yay!

Big news is that you finally cracked a smile. At 11 weeks. For a few days you seemed to be giving us some half smile, but then on the Sunday at 11 weeks you really smiled. Daddy was the first one to get your smiles. So since then we've been loving seeing those smiles. They are still rare, but we can usually count on them right after you wake up in the morning or from a nap. Still haven't had any huge grins though. Love it when that little smile spreads across your face!

Your nights have gotten so much better. You will go down early, 5 or 6 most days, and then sleep for a good 5-6 hour stretch. But then the rest of the night you are constantly waking up. It's exhausting. We solved the swaddling problem though! I had remembered that your Aunt Ruth had given us a swaddling blanket when Abby was a baby called the Miracle Blanket which wraps around and around, making it harder to break free. And it works for you!

You still sleep a ton during the day. You can only go about one hour stretches before you get super tired and cranky. You are also a light sleeper and get woken up so easily. So we had to invest in a new white noise machine to help cover the noises of your sisters

We have decided that you do not seem to like your baths. You are definitely very much like Abby in your temperament.

You tolerate the Solly Wrap for more than just naps now which is nice for when we are out and about.

And as always, you've got some adoring sisters you love you so much. Abby loves to hold you play with you and read to you.

Love you little Sadie-girl,

Love, Your Mamma
